If anyone was still in any doubt that the average tabloid hack is a morally bankrupt scumbag, Paul McMullen should help clear things up for you. McMullen was a features editor on the News of the World for about six years. He was the moron who allowed himself to be bugged by Hugh Grant (see second clip), which is when the lid first started to be prised off the hacking scandal.

Here he is 'defending' tabloid practices on Newsnight. With friends like these, the tabloid press doesn't really need enemies.
